Building Curb Appeal
The adjacent office buildings at 36 and 38 Antares Drive were constructed in the 1980’s and suffered from outdated finishes and a lack of common amenities for tenants. CanFirst Ottawa Properties Inc. and Colliers International, the building owner and property manager, wanted to introduce a new interior master plan to provide accessibility to the 2nd floor suites and new exterior concept to improve the marketability, or ‘curb appeal’, of the buildings. DLA developed a design for both buildings that included a new entrance lobby, elevator, common washrooms, contemporary finishes and a public corridor to new tenant suite entrances. The exteriors of the buildings were completely re-clad with a new metal panel system, canopy detail and LED lighting for a new consolidated office campus appearance.
