Celebrating Community Healthcare
This 5 level, 4650 m2 new building is linked to the Pembroke Regional Hospital. Originally built as the Ottawa Valley Health Centre, it is now owned by the hospital. The mandate for the project was to create an ambulatory health centre for the Ottawa Valley community that would also provide academic services to help encourage practices in rural health care. Great attention was paid to design a building that was flexible and modular in plan, allowing the centre to evolve as programs and requirements changed. Level 3 contains the hospital’s surgical suite including 4 integrated OR’s, pre-op and recovery.
